The Story so Far

The Beach Wheelchair Project was set up in December 2014 by Alison Brown and Jackie Tagg. Alison’s son and Jackie’s brother and mum could not access the local beach due to disablities. They and their families and friends missed out on so much:fresh air, time together and educational activities.

So many beautiful beaches and none accessible to them.

So Alison and Jackie joined forces and set up a group in East Lothian. The local Community Centre offered help and support and for the first year we operated as part of their charity. Now we are a Scottish Charity in our own right.
