Where to Find Us

North Berwick

North Berwick is a town some 25 miles north east of Edinburgh on the south side of the Firth of Forth. It has long been a popular holiday location, but has also been a fishing port and a step on the pilgrimage route to St Andrews in Fife, pilgrims crossing to Earlsferry by boat. A popular location for sailing and golf and the shore base for sails round the Bass Rock, one of the largest gannetries in the northern hemisphere, North Berwick boasts two superb beaches on either side of the harbour.

The collection point for the beach wheelchairs is The Beach Hut North Berwick Harbour EH39 4JL. Follow Victoria Road to the harbour through the black double gates on the right. You will see the blue and white Beach Hut a few yards ahead of you.

Please note parking can be very difficult in the summer months. We have permission for our customers to park within the harrbour area (unless specific other directions are in force). You should open and drive through the black gates. Please ensure you close the gates behind you. You should pull in alongside the base of the wall opposite the Beach Hut still allowing access for large vehicles. In addition there are 2 disabled bays near the harbour and several in front of the Seabird Scottish Seabird Centre. You should allow plenty of time for parking.

Portobello

Portobello is three miles to the east of Edinburgh city centre. Portobello is a popular beach for locals and visitors alike, and especially with families in the summer. It is easy to get to the beach from the city centre using a local bus such as the No 26 from Princes Street.

The collection point for the beach wheelchairs is a storage container beside the Tumbles car park, Westbank Street EH15 1DR. Please note that parking can be very difficult in the summer months. There are disabled bays within the Tumbles car park and the nearby Bridge Street car park. You should allow plenty of time for car parking.

Seton Sands

Seton Sands is a long rural beach on the South Bank of the Firth Forth between Port Seton and Longniddry and is accessible by bus no 26 from Edinburgh. East Lothian Council recently constructed a boardwalk to improve access to the beach. Disabled parking is available within the Haven Seton Sands car park.
