Donations
All of our services are provided FREE to our customers. We don’t think anyone should have to pay to access the beach.
If you would like to donate to us you can now donate online. Please click on the Donate Now button below.
You can also donate by cheque. Please make cheques payable to Beach Wheelchairs and send this to our charities registered address - c/o North Berwick Community Centre, 8 Law Road, North Berwick, East Lothian EH39 4PL.
You can also donate at our Beach Hut or at the container when it is open.
Funding
Thank you to everyone that supports Beach Wheelchairs. We are delighted to be very generously supported by the local communities in North Berwick and Portobello. We also organise our own fundraising activities. If you are interested in raising funds for us please get in touch!
We are incredibly grateful for the funding received by a range of local and national funders. Our Board apply to funders to enable us to purchase beach wheelchairs, pay our staff and help us maintain our service to the highest standard.
Finances
As a registered charity in Scotland we report annually to the Office of the Scottish Charity Commissioner (OSCR). This includes all of our financial information including our income and expenses. Please find our annual report here. Thank you to our accountant Whitelaw Wells for providing expert advice and helping us in our compliance.
