Fancy a job working at the seaside and helping people get on the beach using our specialist equipment? We are looking for someone to join our Beach Wheelchairs team this summer at Portobello. The role pays the Living Wage of £13.45 per hour and is suitable for anyone 16 plus.

Are a confident communicator and quick to learn

Experience of working with individuals with disabilities or older people is preferred but not a requirement.

Full, paid training will be given by our experienced volunteers. The role will primarily be working alone but you will have support and supervision provided by our team. You will need to work alongside our current volunteers who will cover days you aren’t working. You should be a great communicator and happy to chat to anyone and everyone and will be someone that is a great ambassador for our small, local charity. Experience of working with people with disabilities or older people is preferred but is not essential for this post.

The post is for a temporary member of staff to cover our busy summer period. The hours and days of work and start date will be agreed with the preferred candidate. We are looking for someone able to work throughout the summer for 30 hours a week but a degree of flexibility is available and job share would be considered for the right candidate.
